PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an anionic polymer capable of producing a high-molecular weight anionic polymer even if a polymerization inhibiting substance resides in the reaction system or a polymerization inhibiting substance flows in from the outside, and controlling accurately a molecular weight of the resultant anionic polymer.SOLUTION: The method for producing an anionic polymer is characterized in that: an anionically polymerizable monomer is added to a polymerization-initiating system including an organic anion species having polymerization-initiating capability of an ate complex having a carbon anion derived from 1,1-diphenylethylene or stilbene as one organometallic compound, and an organic anion species of an ate complex comprising an organic alkali metal, and an organometallic compound having magnesium, aluminum or zinc as a metal species, the organic anion species having no polymerization-initiating capability but transforming a polymerization inhibiting substance to a substance not inhibiting polymerization by reacting with the polymerization inhibiting substance; and is polymerized in a temperature range of not lower than -100°C and not higher than +20°C. |
