PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rotor which can fix a bond magnet to a rotor frame without performing heat treatment and using adhesive.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a rotor comprises a bond magnet compression process wherein a ring-shaped bond magnet is compressed under no heat and a bond magnet insertion process wherein the compressed bond magnet is inserted into a rotor frame. In the bond magnet compression process, the outer diameter of the bond magnet is compressed within a range from 0.2 to 0.8% for that of the bond magnet under a normal temperature environment. In the bond magnet insertion process, the bond magnet compressed in the bond magnet compression process is inserted into the rotor frame under a normal temperature environment as in the bond magnet compression process.
