PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifuge with its rotor and rotary head made easily detachable and securely fastenable as well.SOLUTION: The rotor of the centrifuge includes a rotor hole into which a rotary head is inserted, and a male member. The male member is rotatable on a rotary shaft horizontally disposed inside the rotor hole with the center of gravity thereof positioned below the rotary shaft, and includes a protruding member disposed on the opposite side of a rotary shaft disposed below the center of gravity. The rotary head includes a cylindrical rotor coupler that is coaxial to the axis of the rotary shaft, comprises an annular concave part formed on the inner face of the rotor coupler, and is disposed on the upper part of the rotary head. When the rotor is disposed above the rotary head with the rotary shaft in a motionless state, the male member stays inside the rotor coupler and the protruding member thereof faces the concave part of the rotor coupler. If the rotary shaft rotates, the protruding member moves in a manner of fitting into the concave part. If a force of disengaging the rotor from the rotary head is applied while the protruding member is fitted in the concave part, the protruding member receives the force in the direction of fitting itself into the concave part. |
