An internal combustion engines sparking plug according to the invention contains a solid housing (2), which is an electric and thermal conductor. In its interior recess, a gas-proof, ceramic insulator (1) is located with central electrode (3), whose protruding end is located inside a cylinder (17) of the sparking plug. The bottom part of the housing (2) of the sparking plug is a truncated cone, and the side streaming holes (5) are designed in a radial pattern around the sparking plug on the cone sheath, whilst the streaming holes (5) are inclined towards the vertical axis of the sparking plug at the angle of 45° to 90°. At least two side streaming holes (5) are designed in a radial pattern around the cone sheath perimeter of the sparking plug. In addition to that, the sparking plug may have a single vertical streaming hole (13) and (16) in the mass electrode (10) of the sparking plug, designed coaxially with the electrode (3) of the sparking plug and integrated with a sparking plug bottom (11). The mass electrode (10) is homogeneous with a sparking plug's housing (2) or is a separate element (15) combined on a permanent basis with the housing (2) of the sparking plug. According to this variant the streaming sparking plug has been designed so that the initiation of the ignition inside the cylinder (17) of the sparking plug takes place in the central part of the cylinder (17) of the sparking plug, whilst the streaming holes (5) are positioned so that the flame that spreads inside the cylinder (17) of the sparking plug covers relatively as short distance as possible from the outbreak of the ignition to the streaming holes (5). In addition to that, to shorten the time the flame reaches the streaming holes £5) and thus hasten the moment of initiation of ejecting hot streams into the combustion chamber of the engine, a flange (12) inside the sparking plug has been used, which can occur in two variants, i.e. as a single part of the housing (2) homogeneous with the housing (2), or as a ring (14) embedded cold in the housing (2) or press assembled inside the housing (2). |
