The present invention relates to cosmetic or dermatological compositions, containing in a cosmetically or dermatologically acceptable carrier at least one active substance made of at least one of the groups of aromatic alcohols of the structure (AA-1), and/or of antimicrobial diols of the formula (AMD-1) R1-CH OH-(CHR2)X-CH2OH (AMD-1), and/or of 1,2-alkane diols and/or of terpenes, terpene alcohols, terpene aldehydes and at least one derivative of 3-hydroxy-4(1H)- pyridone of the general formula (I).
