The steering actuator has a steering housing (3) and a drive screw which is arranged in the steering housing. An electromotor (4) is connected with a drive spindle (1) by a driving action. The drive spindle has a moving thread (2) for conversion of rotational movement generated by the electromotor in a translation motion of the drive spindle. The moving thread for generating the translation motion of the drive spindle is interacted with the housing fixed mating thread (6).
