<p>Provided is a battery module (100) having a plurality of batteries arranged and housed within a case (20), wherein the batteries are provided with an open section (17) on the electrode (16) of the battery that exhausts gas generated inside the battery to the outside of the battery; the case (20) is divided into a housing section (54) that houses the plurality of batteries and an exhaust chamber (24) that exhausts gas released from the open section (17) of the electrode (16) to the outside of the case (20), by means of a circuit board (30) disposed touching a battery case (5) surrounding the electrode (16) of the battery; the electrode (16) of the battery is connected to a connecting member (32) formed on the circuit board (30); and the open section (17) of the electrode (16) communicates with the exhaust chamber (24) via through holes (36) formed on the circuit board (30).</p>
