PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode body which can prevent breakage in using as the positive electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery even when the battery is repeatedly charged and discharged.SOLUTION: The positive electrode body 1A includes a positive electrode collector 11, and a positive electrode active material layer 10 arranged at least on one surface side of the positive electrode collector 11. The positive electrode active material layer 10 is structured of a plurality of composite whisker-like bodies 10c. The composite whisker-like body 10c includes a conductive whisker-like body 10m bonded to the positive electrode collector 11, and positive electrode active material 10p supported on a surface of the whisker-like body 10m and occludes and releases lithium ions.
