PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate quasi musical instrument sounds expressing property possessed by sounds generated from a musical instrument of three-dimensional structure having wires and a body in reality.SOLUTION: The musical sound signal synthesis device includes: a wire model calculation means for calculating "displacement on a mode coordinate of each proper vibration mode of a wire and force exerted on a wire support end by the wire" in a prescribed method from calculation result or the like of a body model calculation part; a body model calculation means for calculating "displacement on a mode coordinate of each proper vibration mode of the body and displacement of a wire support end" in a prescribed method from calculation result of a wire model calculation part; and an air model calculation means for calculating "sound pressure on observation points in air" in a prescribed method from calculation result of the body model calculation part. Thus, the device simulates sounds generated from a musical instrument of three-dimensional structure having the wires and the body emitting sounds in air by supporting the wires each on the two wire support ends and transmitting vibration of the wires through the wire support ends.
