PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can simply manufacture a photocurable material capable of forming a cured product having high transparency and a high refractive index.SOLUTION: The photocurable material is obtained by a manufacturing method including a step (i) of reacting at least one compound (A) having a plurality of carbon-carbon unsaturated double bonds with a compound (B) having a mercapto group and a carboxyl group to obtain a surface modifying agent (C) having a carboxyl group originated from the compound (B) at the end, a step (ii) of modifying the surface of inorganic fine particles (D) with the surface modifying agent (C) to obtain surface modified inorganic fine particles (E), and a step (iii) of obtaining a photocurable material including the surface modified inorganic fine particles (E), a curable component (F) comprising at least one compound (f1) having a plurality of carbon-carbon unsaturated double bonds and at least one compound (f2) having a plurality of mercapto groups and no carboxyl group and a photopolymerization initiator (G). |
