PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which satisfactorily keeps the durability of a plurality of slide operation wires even if reducing a sheath in diameter.SOLUTION: In the catheter 10, a wear prevention member 100 interposed between the outer peripheral surface of a turning operation member 70 and the outer surface of the slide operating wire 40 in the range allowing turning by manual operation suppresses the wear of the slide operating wire 40 to be smaller than that while wound directly on the outer peripheral surface of a turning operation member 70. Consequently, the turning operation member 70 is turned so as to bend the distal end (not shown in the figure) of the sheath 16 by a pair of slide operation wires 40. Thus, even if the pair of slide operation wires 40 come contact with and separate from the outer peripheral surface of the turning operation member 70, the wear prevention member 100 is interposed in the contact and separation, so that the wear of the slide operating wires 40 is suppressed. The life of the catheter 10 is therefore prolonged, which prevents the slide operating wires 40 from being fractured during an operation, disabling bending of the distal end of the sheath 16 in a desired direction. |
