PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus and a copy apparatus improving operability of processing to be applied to an image read from a document.SOLUTION: Image data are captured from a set document, and the captured image data are stored. A reduction image 491 is generated by reducing the stored image data at a predetermined magnification. The generated reduction image 491 and a plurality of function icons 51-54 corresponding to the reduction image 491 and corresponding to processing to be performed on the stored image data are displayed on a display section 17. When a user slides the reduction image 491 onto the function icons 51-54 displayed on the display section 17, the processing corresponding to the function icons 51-54 is performed on the stored image data.
