PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paste-like flux for melt-welding a Zn-Al-Mg alloy plated steel sheet which includes fluoroaluminate as an essential component, has thixotropy, has excellent coating properties to the melt-weld zone of a Zn-Al-Mg alloy plated steel sheet, has no occurrence of liquid sagging upon application, further, has excellent adhesive properties to the steel sheet, further has suitable drying properties of a coating film, and, by its application to the hot-weld zone, can prevent the embrittlement cracking of a molten metal upon welding.SOLUTION: The paste-like flux for melt-welding a Zn-Al-Mg alloy plated steel sheet includes: an organic solvent; a resin; potassium fluoroaluminate; and at least one benzylidene sorbitol-based gelling agent selected from the group consisting of dibenzylidene sorbitor, tribenzylidene sorbitor and their derivatives. |
