PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain protection of confidential information included in an original having a prescribed format when reading the original to produce an electronic document.SOLUTION: When a reading part 2 reads an original, a form recognizing part 10 detects from a read image whether it is an original having a prescribed format. If it is the original having the prescribed format, a discrimination part 11 discriminates a protected area including information to be protected and a non-protected area other than the protected area. A processing part 12 performs specific processing on the protected area so that an image within the area may be brought into a visual recognition disabled state and performs normal processing on the non-protected area, thereby producing an electronic document. |
