PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image processing according to the intention of a photographer in an ex-post manner for image data which are recorded while image processing intended by the photographer is not performed due to any reason in the case that, for example, characteristic data of a photographing lens are not stored in a digital camera.SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus such as a personal computer, in the case that, in image data captured from an external device, an image correction processing flag which indicates that predetermined image processing is not performed on the image data is confirmed in accordance with contents indicated by the image correction processing flag, whether or not the predetermined image processing should be performed on the image data is switched with respect to the image data.
