PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a binding area of forming a recess-projection in a sheet bundle, in an optional size, while restraining reduction in productivity.SOLUTION: This sheet processing apparatus binds the sheet bundle by forming the recess-projection in the sheet bundle composed of a plurality of sheets, and has a pair of rotary members 1 and 2 having recess-projection parts 1a and 2a in an outer peripheral part, a motor 4 for moving at least one of the pair of rotary members 1 and 2 so that the sheet bundle is sandwiched or sandwiching is released by the pair of rotary members 1 and 2, and a control device 61 for controlling the motor 4 so as to rotate while sandwiching the sheet bundle or releasing the sandwiching so that one recessed part and the other projection part of the pair of rotary members 1 and 2 mesh with each other. |
