PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell population highly containing NK (natural killer) cells suitable for use in therapy of infectious diseases and immunotherapy of cancer.SOLUTION: A method for producing the cell population containing NK cells including a process for incubating the cell population containing NK cells and/or precursor cells having differentiation ability to the NK cells in vitro in the presence of at least one kind of compounds selected from the group consisting of fucoidan, degradation products of fucoidan and salts thereof is provided. An NK cell proliferative agent containing at least one kind of compounds selected from the group consisting of fucoidan, degradation products of fucoidan and salts thereof, the cell population produced by the method, a therapeutic agent or preventive agent for diseases sensitive to the NK cells containing the cell population as an active ingredient are also provided. |
