PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling article superior in an effect on removing a scorched food stain and an oil stain, in comparison with that of a conventional inorganic coating film such as a zirconium oxide film; and to provide a method of producing the same with ease.SOLUTION: The article is prepared by forming a thin film which contains, onto at least a part of the surface of the substrate, one or more elements selected from yttrium (Y), lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu), gadolinium (Gd), terbium (Tb), erbium (Er), thulium (Tm) and ytterbium (Yb), each having a valence of +3 or more and an ionic radius of at least one angstrom, and oxygen (O); and further has a thickness of ≥5 nm and ≤100 nm. |
