PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve molding performance, appearance, and looks and to make capacity compact, being a method and a mold for molding a multi-color molded article in which a trim body and an ornament are unified.SOLUTION: The mold 40 includes: upper and lower molds 50 and 60 which mutually can perform mold clamping and mold opening; a split cavity insert 70 which is arranged in the lower mold 60 and used when the ornament 30 is molded; and slope cam mechanisms 80 which are installed at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the split cavity insert 70. The cylinder 82 of the slope cam mechanism 80 is made to do a stretch action, the split cavity insert 70 is raised in linkage with the advance action of a slide piece 81, a cavity C2 for the ornament is drawn/formed by the upper mold 50 and the split cavity insert 70, and the ornament 30 is molded. Next, the slide piece 81 is retreat-operated, the split cavity insert 70 is falling-operated, first molten resin M1 is injected/packed into a cavity C1 for a body, and a door trim body 20 is molded in a required shape and unified with the ornament 30. |
