PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for lowering the level of flow-induced vibration (FIV) to be applied to a jet pump structure inside of a pressure container or other similar article.SOLUTION: This system for attenuating vibration reduces slip-joint leakage, which may be a cause of the FIV, by adding a flow limiting element to an outlet of a slip-joint 160. This element may take the form of a flange part, a flow passage and/or other structuring element connectable to one structuring element of a jet pump structure 85. After installation, an embodiment of the present invention may lower the amplitude of, and/or change the frequency of, the FIV to be applied to the jet pump structure. |
