PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection mechanism, an automatic analyzer, and a liquid level detection method for detecting a noise generated right before a liquid level is detected, and preventing the liquid level from being erroneously detected.SOLUTION: The liquid level detection mechanism 60 for detecting a change in an electrostatic capacitance between a probe 6b and a first reagent accommodated in a reagent vessel 2a, and for determining whether the lower end of the probe 6b contacts the liquid level of the first reagent based on a detected signal includes: a current source for inputting a current between the probe 6b and the first reagent at a predetermined interval; an A/D converter 65 for sampling a voltage value between the probe 6b and the first reagent at the predetermined interval; and a liquid level determination section 66 for calculating the electrostatic capacitance from the voltage value sampled by the A/D converter 65, and determining whether it detects the noise or the liquid level based on a difference value between the electrostatic capacitance at the previous sampling time. |
