PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attenuate vibration leaking from vibrating arms.SOLUTION: A flexural-mode tuning-fork type crystal vibrator includes a base and a pair of vibrating arms extending from the base, and has a width in a direction perpendicular to extending directions of the vibrating arms extending from the base where the base has first concave portions at upper and lower principal surfaces at a predetermined interval without facing each other, and the first concave portions are formed by wet etching etc., to a depth beyond the thickness center of the base. |
