PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack and pinion type steering device suppressing the generation of tooth hitting sound.SOLUTION: The rack and pinion type steering device includes a rack guide 8 and a receiving member 7. The receiving member 7 includes: a holding part holding a rack shaft 5 from both sides of the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the rack shaft 5; and outside abutting parts 26a, 26b as a regulation part integrally formed with the holding part. The outside abutting parts 26a, 26b abut on a step surface of the rack guide 8 when the torque of the rack shaft 5 is generated in an engagement part between a helical tooth 2 and a rack tooth 6. |
