PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively bring a construction under vibration control by improving the performance of a vibration control device including a rotary inertia mass damper.SOLUTION: Rotating inertial mass md is amplified by setting the specifications of the rotary inertial mass damper 200 and a spring 400 so that ω/ωd<1.0 and the amplification αm of the rotating inertial mass becomes higher than 1 according to a damping constant hd, where ωd represents a fundamental circular frequency settled by the rotating inertial mass md and spring and ω represents the fundamental circular frequency of the construction. In other words, resistance (a dynamic mass effect) with respect to an external force by the rotating inertial mass is amplified. Since large rotating inertial mass is obtained by a small mass body 178, the construction 10 is effectively brought under the vibration control. |
