PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish the method of highly accurately discriminating a surface to be cleaned without being affected by an operation by an operator, in the method of discriminating the surface to be cleaned of a vacuum cleaner.SOLUTION: An electric motor 10 for driving a rotary brush and current detection means 14 for detecting a current supplied to the electric motor 10 are provided, and the surface to be cleaned is discriminated on the basis of the instantaneous variation width of a current value generated by force received from the surface to be cleaned and detected by the current detection means 14 when the rotary brush is rotated and a cleaning body is brought into contact with the surface to be cleaned. The method of highly accurately discriminating the surface to be cleaned without being affected by an operation by an operator is established. |
