PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split stator and manufacturing method thereof which does not disturb a magnetic domain or the like of a region where a magnetic flux flows at caulking, shrink fitting or the like in a yoke connecting adjoining split cores to each other, and therefore does not hinder the flow of magnetic flux to an adjoining tooth from a tooth via the yoke.SOLUTION: The method includes two processes. In a first process, split cores 10 formed by laminating electromagnetic steel plates are assembled in the circumferential direction. In this assembly, an intermediate is formed where adjoining split cores 10 and 10 abut each other in outer areas 11a and 11a on the opposite side of the tooth 12 of the yokes 11 and the cores do not abut in inner areas 11b and 11b on the side of the tooth of the yokes 11. In the second process, a split stator 100 is manufactured by fastening a cylinder 20 to the external periphery by shrink fitting or the like, and abutting inner areas 11b and 11b of the yoke of each of adjoining split cores in an attitude which does not give pressure to each other, or holding a non-abutting attitude. |
