PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine torque control device capable of maintaining high operating performance (drivability) when changing the air-fuel ratio to a lean side air-fuel ratio in an engine control system including an EGR device.SOLUTION: This engine torque control device includes a program which starts a processing for increasing the oxygen quantity with a predetermined startup timing (timing t1) after executing a processing for reducing the fuel quantity when changing the air-fuel ratio to a lean side air-fuel ratio. To be more specific, with this program, after waiting for a time (a period t0-t1), during which the fuel injection quantity is interrelated with a determination value A2, from the air-fuel ratio changing timing t0, a throttle valve and an EGR valve are driven with the timing t1 to return the intake oxygen quantity to the oxygen quantity for normal operation. |
