PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method capable of acquiring images with no blurring and with suppressed noise, by the small number of sheets of the images under different expose condition. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 photographs by an optical system 11 and an imaging element 12 a plurality of sheets of images including an image with a shorter exposure time, a higher resolution but much noise, and an image with a longer exposure time but a lower resolution and less noise. After signal processing at a signal processor 13, a CPU 14 locates and separates edges, blurring, and noise from a difference image of two sheets according to a threshold; and synthesizes the difference image of two sheets by changing a synthesis ratio for the image to form an image without blurring and with reduced noise.
