PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless receiving apparatus capable of effectively relaxing the sensitivity suppression due to an effect of adjacent disturbing waves without unnecessarily degrading the reception sensitivity. SOLUTION: The wireless receiving apparatus includes: an antenna 16; a filter 21 for passing a received signal from the antenna 16 and whose passing characteristic is variable; a received electric field strength detection means 32 for detecting the received electric field strength of a radio wave received by the antenna 16 on the basis of the received signal received via the filter 21; a reception quality detection means 31 for detecting the actual reception quality of the received signal received via the filter 21; a storage means 37 for storing the ideal reception quality with respect to the received electric field strength; a comparison means 34 for comparing the ideal reception quality corresponding to the detected received electric field strength with the detected actual reception quality; and a control means 35 for controlling the passing characteristic of the filter 21 on the basis of a result of the comparison by the comparison means 34.
