Use of 1,3-dimethylpyrrolidone and/or 1,4-dimethylpyrrolidone as: solvents, diluents, extractants, cleaning agents, degreasers, absorbents and/or dispersing agents; a solvent and/or extractant in method for the decomposition of gas mixtures; a solvent for polymers and/or copolymers, resins, cellulose derivatives and dyes; solvents, diluents and/or dispersing agents in chemical reactions; a solvent for the production of electrode slurries for lithium-ion batteries; a partial or complete replacement of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone; or in inks for inkjet printers, is claimed. Use of 1,3-dimethylpyrrolidone and/or 1,4-dimethylpyrrolidone as: solvents, diluents, extractants, cleaning agents, degreasers, absorbents and/or dispersing agents; a solvent and/or extractant in method for the decomposition of gas mixtures; a solvent for polymers and/or copolymers, resins, cellulose derivatives and dyes; solvents, diluents and/or dispersing agents in chemical reactions; a solvent in process for the production of wire enamels; a solvent and/or absorbent in process for gas scrubbing; solvents, cleaning agents and/or degreasing agents in process for manufacturing integrated circuits; a solvent or cosolvent in the formulation of active substances such as insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, seed treatment products and bioregulators, and pharmaceutical drugs, preferably for the formulation in hard and soft gelatin capsules; a solvent for the production of electrode slurries for lithium-ion batteries; a partial or complete replacement of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone; or in inks for inkjet printers, is claimed.
