The reception unit of the disclosed broadcast reception device receives a broadcast signal that includes program content and download control information that corresponds to that program. A TLV demultiplexing unit splits the program content and the download control information from the receiced broadcast signal. A content accumulation unit and an ECG accumulation unit respectively accumulate the separated content and download control information. When there is a deleted portion in the accumulated content, a download processing unit acquires as a supplemental portion from a distribution server the portion of content corresponding to the deleted portion, by means of a communication unit accessing the distribution server for the distribution time period indicated by distribution scheduling information included in the download control information.
