FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: acceleration system for compound charged particles with mass number exceeding 1, includes: a common or superconducting cyclotron, a radio-frequency linear accelerator (RLA), a mean energy beam transportation (MEBT) line and a high energy beam transportation (HEBT) line. The MEBT line is attached at its end to an output of the cyclotron or to an output of a first portion of the radio-frequency linear accelerator, and at the other end - to an input of the radio-frequency linear accelerator or to a second portion of said radio-frequency linear accelerator. The HEBT line at its one end is attached to the output of the radio-frequency linear accelerator, and at the other end - to a system for radiation dose distribution to a patient. ^ EFFECT: invention allows to reduce energy consumption and to provide considerable compactness that allows to mount it in medical structures, and allows to change operatively energy and current of the therapeutic beam of small emittance and a time structure adapted for radiation dose distribution on the basis of a method known as spot scanning. |
