PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound quality correction apparatus, method and program, which quantitatively evaluates a degree of similarity between a speech signal and a music signal, included in an input audio signal so as to implement adaptive sound quality correction processing according to the degree of similarity.SOLUTION: A sound quality correction apparatus calculates various feature parameters for identifying the speech signal and the music signal from an input audio signal and, based on the various feature parameters thus calculated, calculates a speech/music identification score (S1) indicating which of the speech signal and the music signal the input audio signal is close to. Then, based on this speech/music identification score (S1), the correction strength of each of plural sets of sound quality correcting means (78 to 81) is controlled to execute different types of sound quality correction processes on the input audio signal. |
