PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that, when general-purpose industrial water containing metallic ions, particularly a calcium ion and a magnesium ion, tap water, groundwater or the like is used in the case of containing an inorganic salt such as a phosphate as a corrosion inhibitor in an antifreeze composition, it has been required to deionize the water or add a chelating agent or a compound including the metallic ions.SOLUTION: By using glycerin or polyglycerin as a glycol or polyhydric alcohol component to be used in the antifreeze composition, the formation of water-difficultly soluble salts can be inhibited in the case where the antifreeze composition contains an inorganic salt such as a phosphate as a corrosion inhibitor even if general-purpose industrial water containing metallic ions, particularly a calcium ion and a magnesium ion, tap water, groundwater or the like is used. |
