PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing an image capable of accurately deciding an original attribute even when omitting an input operation for the original attribute by a user, and to provide a device for forming the image, a method and a program for processing the image, and a recording medium recording the program for processing the image.SOLUTION: The device 3 for processing the image is configured to include a foundation decision 24, a pixel decision 21, a foundation remover 29, and an output decision 31. The foundation decision 24 decides a foundation pixel in a plurality of pixels in original image data based on an original. The pixel decision 21 decides chromatic pixels contained in the original image data. The foundation remover 29 removes a foundation on the basis of the result of a foundation decision in the foundation decision 24. The output decision 31 compares a minimum foundation-pixel density value obtained on the basis of the density value of the foundation pixel and the density value of the chromatic pixels, and decides a monochro output when the density value of the chromatic pixels is higher than the minimum foundation pixel density value. |
