PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a transport roller and a method for producing a cylindrical shaft where even a transport roller or a cylindrical shaft with an almost cylindrical shape is formed from a metal sheet material, the generation of corrosion at a connecting part in which a pair of edge parts are mutually connected can be prevented.SOLUTION: This invention is a method for producing a transport roller which is provided at a printing device recording information on a sheet-shaped recording medium and transports the recording medium, and comprises: a stage S1 where a sheet material is bent, so as to form a cylindrical member with an almost cylindrical shape; and a plating stage S3 where a connecting part in which a pair of edge parts in the sheet material are mutually connected is covered with electroplating. |
