PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a color image with a high resolution when the color image is printed while printing its background.SOLUTION: A printer includes (A) a head that includes a first nozzle row for ejecting a first ink for forming a background and a second nozzle row for ejecting a second ink for forming a color image, and ejects the first and second inks while moving relative to a medium, and (B) a sub-scanning part that conveys the medium relative to the head by a predetermined amount. The printer further includes (C) a controller that performs (c1) a first dot forming operation for forming a band having a predetermined amount of width while ejecting the first ink from nozzles corresponding to a predetermined amount of the first nozzle row without performing sub-scanning conveyance, and (c2) a second dot forming operation for forming dots of the second ink on the band by ejecting the second ink from nozzles of the second nozzle row corresponding to the band and for forming dots of the second ink by conveying the medium in the sub-scanning direction by a predetermined amount a plurality of times. |
