Provided are a piston and a plunger which are adapted for use in a syringe having a very small capacity. The piston for a syringe having a very small capacity slides along the wall of the space within the syringe tube. The piston comprises a front end member disposed on the side of the piston which is in contact with liquid filled into the space, and also comprises a rear end member disposed on the side of the piston to which a plunger rod is mounted and which is on the side opposite the side of the front end member on which the liquid is present. The front end member and the rear end member are integrated with each other, and the rear end member has higher hardness than the front end member. The configuration enables a syringe having a very small capacity for retaining a medication liquid to smoothly suck and discharge the liquid without leakage of the liquid. Even if the small piston mounted to the front end of the plunger rod is operated in the direction in which the piston is pulled out of the syringe, the plunger rod does not inadvertently come out of the inside of the piston. The piston and the plunger are optimal for use in a syringe having a very small capacity. |
