PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile communication device capable of communicating quickly through less number of times of operation and capable of easily making alterations and additions to a message, in comparison with a conventional device requiring a complicated input operation, as there is a need for a welfare device allowing an operator, such as a disabled person with speech problems, an aged person and an ailing person, to communicate.SOLUTION: Elements of conversation are put into a hierarchical database, a selection screen for displaying a plurality of visual symbols symbolizing the elements is generated for every level of hierarchy, and a message corresponding to a combination of the elements selected at each level of hierarchy is displayed and outputted as voice to thereby assist communication. |
