PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus provided with a guide portion which contributes to formation of a toner image of high image quality, by suppressing bounce of the rear end of a sheet.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes an image carrier 125 carrying a toner image; a transfer member 113 forming a nip portion N between the image carrier 125 and the transfer member itself and transferring a toner image to a sheet P in the nip portion N; and the guide portion 20 for guiding the sheet P to the nip portion N. The guide portion 20 includes a first guide member 21 extending toward the nip portion N, and a second guide member 22 extending along the first guide member 21, and the first guide member 21 has a leading-end portion 31, located on the image carrier 125 side as viewed from a tangent L1 of the nip portion N; the second guide member 22 has a curved surface 34 on an extended line L2 connecting an upstream point U1, in the nip portion N, as viewed from the guide direction of the sheet P, with the leading-end portion 31 of the first guide member 21. |
