PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor wherein the heat transfer from a detecting surface and thermal responsivity are fast and its electrical insulation properties are superior, and to provide a heated toilet seat equipped with the temperature sensor and high safety (even if rapid heating is performed with electric power of large capacity). SOLUTION: This temperature sensor is equipped with: insulation sheets 7a and 7b for coating a temperature-sensing element 2 and lead parts 4a and 4b; and an insulation resin material 8 for wrappingly coating the whole exposed conductive part, including electrical connection parts of lead wires 5a and 5b having insulation coatings 9 electrically connected to lead terminal parts 31a and 31b of the lead parts 4a and 4b. This causes heat to be transferred quickly via the insulating sheet 7a, to the sensing element 2, providing a fast thermal response speed. The temperature sensor, excelling in the electrical insulative property, can be made, since all the conductive parts, such as the electrical connecting parts of the lead wires 5a and 5b including the sensing element 2, are coated with the resin material 8 so that they are blocked from the outside air.
