PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weathering light testing method for precisely controlling the temperature in a test tank and uniformizing the radiation luminous intensity from a light source over a wide humidity region to enable energy saving operation in a weathering light testing machine for irradiating the sample with predetermined light under a predetermined temperature and humidity condition. SOLUTION: A temperature operation circuit is provided in the control circuit of a heater to control the output of the heater, the heater and a cooler are allowed to cooperate with each other to be operated so that the respective operation loads of them become minimum to control the value of a temperature measuring element, a dehumidification operation circuit is provided in the control circuit in the heater to add the data from a humidity sensor is added to operate the heater, the frequency of the inverter of a freezer is selected corresponding to the degree of the heat load acting on a test tank to operate the cooler and a means for lighting a light source by the power controlled rectangularly by the inverter is provided.
