摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flaw inspection device capable of accurately judging the damage degree of a wire rope regardless of the breaking position of a steel wire. SOLUTION: The flaw inspection device of the wire rope 1 is constituted of a magnetizer 2 for magnetizing the wire rope 1 in its longitudinal direction, a plurality of magnetic detection means 3a-3p arranged in the circumferential direction of the wire rope 1, a comparator 6 and an arithmetic part 7. The comparator 6 specifies the number of the magnetic detection means predetermined in the larger order of output signal values in relation to both of the longitudinal and peripheral directions of the wire rope 1. The arithmetic part 7 is constituted so as not only to calculate the breaking position of the steel wire from the output signal value of the magnetic detection means largest in the output signal value and the output signal values of the magnetic detection means arranged on both side thereof but also to multiply the output signal values of a predetermined number of the magnetic detection means containing at least three magnetic detection means by the coefficient corresponding to the distance between the magnetic detection means and the breating position of the steel wire to judge the damage degree of the wire rope on the basis of the respective output signal values multiplied by the coefficient.
