PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker and a rice cooker which can prevent burning irrespective of the level of fluidity as in the cooking process of rice or steamed rice seasoned with vegetables and meat by an ordinary rice cooking method and furthermore in the cooking process of risotto to be cooked by a unique process.SOLUTION: A control section 23 receives a pan bottom temperature (T1) from a pan bottom temperature sensor 4, monitors the pan bottom temperature T1, and decides whether the pan bottom temperature T1 has reached a prescribed burning prevention temperature T. When deciding that the pan bottom temperature T1 has not reached the burning prevention temperature T, the cooker proceeds to step S24. When deciding that the pan bottom temperature T1 has reached the burning prevention temperature T, the cooker decides that an object to be heated in a pan-shaped vessel 5 is about to be burned and proceeds to step S5. |
