PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device including a restriction means for secondarily preventing dropping off of a column jacket and removal/dropping of an upper jacket at collision.SOLUTION: A steering shaft 2 in which an upper shaft 2b is relatively movably provided relative to a lower shaft 2a is supported at the inside of the column jacket 1 in which the upper jacket 1b is relatively movably provided relative to a lower jacket 1a, and the lower jacket 1a is turnably supported on a lower bracket 4 bonded to a vehicle body. Further, the upper bracket 7 is bonded to the vehicle body 3 so as to be removed to a front side, and an escape space 8 intruded with the upper bracket 7 when it is removed to the front side of the vehicle body is formed between the lower bracket 4 and the upper bracket 7. When the upper bracket 7 is removed and intruded to the escape space 8, an engage pin 10 and an engagement recession part 11b engaged with the engagement pin 10 are provided in order to prevent the column jacket 1 from being turned around a tilt shaft 6 and being dropped off. |
