The present invention relates to a method for providing information on fetal diseases associated with a functional neurological disorder due to maternal epilepsy during pregnancy and a screening method for therapeutic agents for such diseases. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for providing information on functional, fetal neurological disorders by identifying the expression patterns of GABAB1 receptor, PKA, cytochrome-C, or caspase-3 in fetal hippocampal neurons from an individual with suspected epilepsy and a normal individual, and a screening method for therapeutic agents for diseases associated with functional neurological disorders, which comprises administering a candidate agent to a suitable model for maternal epileptic seizure and identifying increase or decrease in specific protein expressions.
