The friction plate consists of a disc (14) with its periphery divided into a number of radial vanes (70) carrying friction linings and connected to the central portion (114) of the disc. Each of the vanes is tripod-shaped, with a radial axis of symmetry (R1) and two lateral zones (75) connected to a central zone (76) by folds (78). A further fold (77) connects the vane's central zone to the central portion of the disc.
