PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument capable of generating legato performance sound without sense of incongruity while securing continuity of the performance sound in legato performance.SOLUTION: When a legato detecting section 20 detects the legato performance by key pressing operation of a certain keyboard in a keyboard section 10 including a plurality of keyboards, a sound source section 30 for attack reads and reproduces a legato attack waveform stored in a legato attack waveform storage section 76 corresponding to the certain keyboard. A part corresponding to an attack section of the legato performance sound by operation of the keyboard is extracted from the legato performance sound by operation of the certain keyboard and a keyboard for sounding one pitch lower than the pitch of the keyboard, and is stored in the legato attack waveform storage section 76. Thus, continuity of the performance sound is secured at legato performance time by using actual legato performance sound. |
