PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can be controlled to a set state appropriate to the contents to be input, irrespective of an input or no input of identification data.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television set is provided, including a display unit, a video processing unit that extracts a still image from a video signal, a ROM that stores the still image extracted by the video processing unit and that stores a set state of set items associated with the still image, and a CPU. The CPU determines whether or not an image of the video signal coincides with the still image (step S14); and when the CPU determines that the image of the video signal coincides with the still image (step S14:Yes), the CPU changes a set state of set items to the set state of the set items associated with the still image that is determined as coincident with the image (step S16). |
