PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high authentication precision, and to prevent the leakage of biological information.SOLUTION: A biometric authentication method includes the steps of extracting enrollment-purpose true feature-point information from enrollment-purpose biometric information; generating enrollment-purpose mixed feature-point information that includes a part of the enrollment-purpose true feature-point information, which is selected based on dummy data generated at random, and false-feature-point information generated, based on the dummy data; extracting authentication-purpose feature-point information from authentication-purpose biometric information; generating authentication-purpose mixed feature-point information that includes part of the authentication-purpose feature-point information which is selected, based on the false feature-point information, and the false-feature-point information; and matching the authentication-purpose mixed feature-point information with the enrollment-purpose mixed feature-point information. |
